Standards & Framework
The
Content Standards, adopted by the California State Board of
Education in November 1997, designate what to teach at specific
grade levels. The standards form the basis of curriculum development
at every grade level.
The
framework is a comprehensive document that includes the content
standards and provides a blueprint for organizing instruction.
In addition to the standards, it provides assessment, instruction
and organization for teaching in a specific subject area.
