CCCOE’s College and Career Readiness Team held the first meeting of a Work-Based Learning Community of Practice. WBL connectors from Antioch, Pittsburg, Mt Diablo, West Contra Costa and Golden Gate Community attended. We shared resources and announcements of upcoming WBL events and discussed the future work of the group, including inviting guest speakers from local companies, industry groups, and community colleges; development of internships and youth apprenticeships, and coordinating for county-wide career events. The group plans to continue meeting monthly.
