CCCOE, in partnership with Contra Costa County, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Poetry Foundation, hosts an annual Poetry Out Loud competition. This years county event took place on February 11, 2023.
About Poetry Out Loud
With Poetry Out Loud, students have the opportunity to interact with the words of the masters of the art through recitation, while also presenting their own creative techniques of delivery.
California proudly boasts the largest Poetry Out Loud competition in the country, growing steadily since its start in 2005.
