CCCOE Job FairPLEASANT HILL, Calif.--Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) is hosting its annual countywide Spring Job Fair on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Alhambra High School in Martinez from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Representatives from 25 school districts, charter schools, and colleges will be in attendance offering on the spot interviews for current and 2023-2024 school year positions. University representatives will also be on hand to offer information about credential programs for candidates interested in furthering their education.

Educators are sought by schools throughout the county to fill full-time teaching positions, certificated support staff, higher education openings, and substitute positions with competitive compensation offers. Attendees should be prepared for interviews and sign-on bonus offers for hard-to-fill positions.

“We continue to face teacher and substitute teacher shortages throughout the nation and state of California,” Lynn Mackey, Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools, said. “Schools in Contra Costa County want and deserve qualified educators in every classroom. CCCOE’s annual Spring Job Fair is an event for new or seasoned educators and even those looking for a career change to explore a variety of education opportunities in our county.”

Those interested in attending the Job Fair can fill out an interest form. Alhambra High School gym is at 150 E. Street, Martinez, CA 94553. For additional details about this free event, contact Morgan Broshar at (925) 942-3489.

About Contra Costa County Office of Education
One of 58 counties in California, Contra Costa County has the 9th largest public-school student population in the state (approximately 158,401 students). Officially established in 1932, the CCCOE has a long history of providing direct services to some of our county's most vulnerable students, including young people who are incarcerated, homeless, or in foster care, as well as students who have severe physical or emotional challenges.

CCCOE also provides support services to schools and school districts in Contra Costa County; services that can be handled most effectively and economically on a regional basis rather than by each of the county's 285 schools or 18 school districts. These services range from budget approval and fiscal support to technology infrastructure, communication support, and high-level professional development opportunities for educators. CCCOE maintains a website at www.cocoschools.org.
