The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may be stressful for people and communities. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. We have compiled a list of helpful resources to use when talking to kids about COVID-19.


The California Department of Education (CDE) has developed the “Help for Students in Crisis” webpage which includes crisis and warm line numbers, along with other COVID-19-related resources for providing virtual mental health services and information for mental health providers, families, and youth.
