Parent Liaison Collaborative

Parent Liaison Collaborative

The Wellness in Schools Program hosts a Parent Liaison Collaborative, which is a safe space that empowers Contra Costa County Parent/Family Liaisons to foster positive relationships with families and communities, share valuable resources and insights, and learn from each other's experiences and expertise.

The primary goal is to establish a nurturing network for parent liaisons across Contra Costa County school districts, focusing on mental health communication between parents and schools. We believe that your active participation in this collaborative meeting will prove invaluable for several reasons:

Mutual Support: The collaborative offers family and parent liaisons a platform to share their experiences, challenges, and successes, promoting mutual support and idea exchange. It enables participants to learn from each other's efforts throughout the 2023-2024 school year.

Resource Sharing: There will be opportunities to share available resources and tools designed to enhance parent engagement and communication. This will empower your school districts to address mental health issues more effectively.

Community Partnerships: By attending, you will gain insights into ways of enhancing partnerships with community-based organizations. These relationships can greatly increase the resources and support available to students and parents alike.

Parent Education and Empowerment: There will be discussions about the various opportunities and events tailored to educate and empower parents, allowing them to play a proactive role in supporting their children's mental well-being.
