The Contra Costa County Office of Education supports career technical education through two major programs, the Regional Occupational Program (ROP) and the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG).

ROP
Mission
ROP provides innovative Career Technical Education to prepare students for challenging careers, post-secondary education, and lifelong learning.
About Us
The Contra Costa County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) annually serves nearly 12,000 students at 34 high schools, a county special education facility, a cosmetology school, two adult detention facilities, and two adult training centers in Contra Costa and northern Alameda Counties.
Contra Costa County ROP:
- Offers more than 90 standards-based courses within the 15 state-identified Career Technical Education (CTE) industry sectors
- Includes nearly 70 ROP courses that are UC ‘a-g’ approved (the most of any ROP in the state)
- Employs highly qualified ROP teachers with industry experience
- Provides leadership and support to teachers, schools, and districts in college and career preparation for students
- Collaborates with schools, business/industry partners, and community colleges to develop, implement, and strengthen career pathways

CTEIG
The CTE Incentive Grant funds a consortium of Contra Costa and northern Alameda County school districts working together to provide High Quality CTE for high school students. CCCOE support includes:
