Curriculum Council
The purpose of the Contra Costa County Curriculum Council is to support district success and build leadership capacity by providing a forum for district curriculum and instruction leaders to receive timely information, share best practices, and engage in collaborative learning and problem-solving around critical instructional topics.
At Curriculum Council meetings, we provide district support in several areas, including:
- Updates on federal and state accountability structures including Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
- Updates on legislation, frameworks, instructional practices and textbooks in the primary subject areas, and the integration of English language development and educational technology
- Showcase of best practices from schools throughout the county
