OSG - Aces Aware Learning Center
 
This free online training helps educators and youth-serving professionals understand the effects of trauma and toxic stress on children and adolescents. Participants learn practical strategies to create safe, supportive environments, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and apply trauma-informed practices that support student well-being and success. 
 
SPTAC - SAMSHA
 
This free online training library from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) offers self-paced courses designed to strengthen prevention knowledge and skills. Topics include prevention science, substance misuse prevention, behavioral health promotion, ethics, community engagement, and evidence-based prevention strategies. Participants can complete trainings on demand and receive certificates of completion.
 
Mandated Reporter California
 
This free California-specific training is designed for mental health professionals, counselors, and social workers. Participants learn their responsibilities under the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA), how to recognize and respond to suspected abuse and neglect, reporting requirements, and considerations unique to behavioral health settings. Real-world scenarios help professionals apply mandated reporting laws in their daily practice.
 
CDPH - School Health
 
This free, self-paced training provides an introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), toxic stress, trauma-informed care, and resilience-building strategies. Participants learn how ACEs impact health and well-being, the importance of early identification and support, and evidence-based approaches to mitigating the effects of toxic stress in children, youth, and families.
 
NAMI
 
This free, self-paced training from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) helps educators and youth-serving professionals better understand the impact of trauma on children and adolescents. Participants learn how trauma affects behavior, identify signs of trauma, use supportive and trauma-informed communication strategies, and create safe, supportive environments that promote resilience and healing. The training takes approximately three hours to complete and includes a certificate of completion.
