Youth Services (YS)

The Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) Youth Services Department supports young people facing barriers to education and employment. We partner with school districts, community agencies, and local organizations to provide coordinated services that promote stability, academic success, and career readiness.

What we do

Youth Services connects students and young adults to programs that address educational access, workforce development, and essential supports. Our services focus on:

Supporting students experiencing homelessness and foster youth
Providing workforce development opportunities through WIOA
Connecting youth to education, training, and career pathways
Offering case management and individualized support
Collaborating with community partners to remove barriers

Our Programs

California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP): Developing partnerships with community organizations to align resources and improve student outcomes
Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY): Supporting students experiencing homelessness to ensure equitable access to education
Empowerment Program: Supporting youth with education, career planning, and life skills to overcome barriers and achieve independence
Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program (FYSCP): Providing academic and social support for youth in foster care.
Workforce Programs: Preparing youth for employment through skill development and career pathways.
