Participants learn practical strategies to create safe, supportive environments, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and apply trauma-informed practices that support student well-being and success.

This free, self-paced training provides an introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), toxic stress, trauma-informed care, and resilience-building strategies. Participants learn how ACEs impact health and well-being, the importance of early identification and support, and evidence-based approaches to mitigating the effects of toxic stress in children, youth, and families.
NAMI
This free, self-paced training from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) helps educators and youth-serving professionals better understand the impact of trauma on children and adolescents. Participants learn how trauma affects behavior, identify signs of trauma, use supportive and trauma-informed communication strategies, and create safe, supportive environments that promote resilience and healing. The training takes approximately three hours to complete and includes a certificate of completion.
