Substance Use Prevention & Youth Engagement

County-wide Prevention efforts

County-wide Prevention efforts

Our county-wide prevention efforts include a variety of youth-focused initiatives:

  • Cannabis Awareness and Prevention Project (CAPP): Engages staff and students to raise awareness about youth cannabis use.
  • Friday Night Live (FNL): Builds partnerships for positive and healthy youth development which engage youth as active leaders and resources in their communities.
  • Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE): Supports schools in creating tobacco-free environments and reducing tobacco use.
  • Youth-Led Opioid Awareness and Misuse Prevention (YOAMP): A new initiative to address opioid misuse through education and peer engagement.

Together, these programs form a comprehensive approach to substance use prevention, rooted in youth leadership, education, and community collaboration.
