Employee Agreements

During our last negotiations, the Agency has agreed to work in partnership with Local One to complete a formal classification study during 2019-2020. The County Superintendent of Schools is also interested in the effective administration of the Agency’s programs and services. It has been over 10 years since our last classification study and many classified staffing changes have occurred in that time.

A classification study is the process of studying, analyzing, and describing the nature and level of work performed by employees. The classification study will also include a compensation review.

The main goals of the classification study are:

  • To update job description
  • To ensure market/internal structure alignment
  • To identify paths for career progression
  • To address recruitment and retention needs
  • To review minimum qualifications to facilitate recruitment of talent

Please watch for future communications about this important topic as we commence the study beginning in the next few weeks. Questions about the Classification Study can be directed to Cheryl Cotton, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, at x3407.
