Academic Events

Information about the 2021-22 Contra Costa County Academic Events will be available in October.  Visit the Event pages to see the schedule and forms and information pages for registration materials.

Model UN

The Model United Nations is an exciting, educational way for high school students to learn about global issues. The Model U.N. simulates the activities of a U.N. body such as the Security Council or the General Assembly. Students assume the roles of diplomatic representatives to the U.N., as they consider contemporary international concerns

The Mock Trial Program is sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF). Each year CRF creates a mock trial that addresses serious matters facing young people today. The 2022 Mock Trial will be held virtually on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in January and February.

National History Day is a national program, with state and regional (county-level) competitions, in which students prepare projects - posters, exhibits, papers, websites, dramatic performances and documentary films - on a historical theme.
